Highway Infrastructure Secures Rs. 244.6 mn NHAI LoA

Highway Infrastructure has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) valued at around Rs. 244.6 mn from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The contract covers user fee collection and upkeep services at the Velanchettiyur Fee Plaza in Tamil Nadu.

The assignment was awarded through an e-quotation and e-tender process for the fee plaza at km 332+000 on the 4-lane divided carriageway section between Karur and Dindigul. The relevant stretch of National Highway 7 extends from km 292.600 to km 373.725, with the actual site alignment running from km 290+000 to km 367+725.

The project falls under Phase 2 of the National Highways Development Project and is identified as TN-04. In addition to collecting user fees, the order requires the company to maintain adjacent toilet blocks and replenish consumable items as part of the facility upkeep obligations.

The contract is expected to be executed within 90 days. The award provides Highway Infrastructure with an order linked to highway operations and maintenance in the state, although the company did not provide further details on the expected financial contribution from the assignment.

Shares of Highway Infrastructure were trading at Rs. 45.32 on the BSE, up Rs. 2.77, or 6.51 per cent, from the previous close. The stock opened at Rs. 45.47 and recorded an intraday high of Rs. 46.80 and a low of Rs. 44.70, while 49,832 shares changed hands. The company’s market capitalisation stood at approximately Rs. 3.25 bn, with promoters holding 70.04 per cent and institutions holding 0.40 per cent.
