New 18km Coastal Highway Linking Surat And Bharuch Launched

The coastal link highway project in South Gujarat was officially launched at Pardi Jakhri village after a ceremonial groundbreaking performed by the local legislator. The project is valued at Rs 3560 mn and is expected to shorten the road distance to Bharuch from 55 kilometres to 18 kilometres. Traffic originating at Hazira will be diverted onto the new coastal route to improve freight movement.
