PMGSY road projects receive Center approval says Khemchand
The plan for the roads that will be built as part of PMGSY - Phase III has been finalised and will be sent to the government very shortly.
The 47 km long road in Churachandpur district was built using a soil stabilisation technique that was tested first. If this technique is adopted, the life of PMGSY roads throughout the state will be extended.
Adopting soil stabilisation technology could reduce rainy season damage to newly built roadways.
While asserting that 39 projects—17 bridges and 22 roads—under PMGSY have been finished since he took over the department, Khemchand also added that 35 locations are currently undergoing normal maintenance work.
