BCPL Railway Infrastructure Secures Rs 47.2 mn Howrah Division Contract

BCPL Railway Infrastructure has secured a contract from Eastern Railway, Howrah Division, for the replacement of old Guy Rod Assembly, the company announced. The order relates to 25 KV overhead equipment work under the Howrah Division electrical wing and was awarded by Eastern Railway as per the letter of acceptance dated four June 2026. The award is in the ordinary course of business, and the counterparty is a domestic entity.

The contract carries a value of Rs 47.2 million (mn) and is scheduled for execution over a period of 18 months from the date of acceptance. The work will be carried out under standard general contract conditions and covers the replacement of guy rod assemblies as part of the maintenance and upgrade of the traction overhead system. The project value is stated inclusive of goods and services tax.

The chairman, Aparesh Nandi, indicated that the order strengthens the company's presence in railway electrification and expressed confidence in the pipeline of similar projects nationwide. He underlined the company's focus on providing services that support connectivity to the north east and rural regions and indicated the expectation of continued work across various railway zones. The company described the order as part of ongoing engagements that include engineering, procurement and construction work.

BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited is a BSE-listed company engaged in design, supply, erection and commissioning of 25 KV, 50 Hz single phase traction overhead equipment with an established track record of about three decades. Its client base includes multiple Indian Railway zones and public and private sector undertakings involved in infrastructure and defence. The company said it will commence mobilisation and execution in line with contractual timelines.
