Brahmaputra Infrastructure Wins Rs 466.2 Million Railway Project

Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder for a key railway infrastructure project awarded by Northeast Frontier Railway, strengthening its order book in the transportation infrastructure segment.

In a regulatory filing, the company said it has received a Letter of Acceptance for the construction of a road over bridge in place of Level Crossing No. NC-5 between Rangapani and New Jalpaiguri stations in the New Jalpaiguri–Aluabari section.

The total value of the contract is approximately Rs 466.2 million. The project has been awarded by Northeast Frontier Railway and is scheduled to be executed within 18 months from the date of award.

The scope of work includes constructing a road over bridge to replace an existing manned level crossing, with the objective of enhancing rail and road safety and easing traffic congestion in the region. Such infrastructure upgrades are critical for improving railway operational efficiency and reducing accident risks at level crossings.

Brahmaputra Infrastructure clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding authority. The company also confirmed that the contract does not constitute a related-party transaction.

The contract win reflects Brahmaputra Infrastructure’s growing presence in railway infrastructure projects and its ability to secure strategic orders in the domestic transportation sector.
