Indian Railways has approved a new daily Mail service between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal, providing an overnight travel option between Kanpur and the Delhi region. The service will operate as Train No. 14153/14154 Kanpur Central-Anand Vihar Terminal-Kanpur Central Mail and will cover 428 km in each direction.

Train No. 14153 will depart from Kanpur Central at 8:40 pm and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 am the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 14154 will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:25 pm and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 am.

The journey from Kanpur to Anand Vihar Terminal will take 8 hours 10 minutes, while the return trip will take 8 hours. The overnight schedule is intended to enable passengers to travel between the two locations and reach their destination during the morning.

The daily service will have eight commercial stoppages along its route. These are Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad. The stops will provide access to several towns between Kanpur and the National Capital Region.

The train will operate daily in both directions, giving passengers an additional rail option between Kanpur and the Delhi region. The service will also improve connectivity for travellers from Etawah, Aligarh and Ghaziabad, alongside those using the larger Kanpur and Delhi travel corridors.

The approval comes as Indian Railways continues to adjust services to meet passenger demand on important intercity routes. With evening departure from Kanpur and late-night departure from Anand Vihar Terminal, the new Mail service is structured around overnight travel and morning arrival times.
