RVNL Emerges L1 For Rs 876m Rail Surveillance Deal
The project is valued at Rs 875.6 million, excluding GST, and involves the supply, installation and commissioning of an IP-based Video Surveillance System (VSS) across LHB coaches. The scope includes four cameras per coach in line with the latest RDSO specifications, along with rugged handheld terminals or tablets and 8 TB external SSD storage.
The contract is to be executed within 10 months from the date of purchase order issuance. RVNL clarified that the award was secured through a regular domestic e-tender process and does not involve any related party transaction.
The order strengthens RVNL’s role in supporting Indian Railways’ technology-driven modernisation efforts, particularly in enhancing passenger safety and onboard security through advanced surveillance systems.
