Tata Consultancy Services has reportedly announced that it has won a contract from Rail Delivery Group to design, develop, implement, and operate the UK's Rail Data Marketplace.

TCS and RDG (Rail Data Marketplace) have agreed to a six-year contract with an option for an extension.

The RDM will combine disparate sources of rail data into a single digital service, accelerating transportation innovation and improving the passenger experience.

The project was first announced by UK Rail Minister Chris Heaton-Harris in 2021 as part of his plan to encourage collaboration between the government and industry in order to accelerate innovation and deliver new products and services to improve passenger experience and freight movement.
