Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that the company had supplied various components for India's moon mission, Chandrayaan-3. According to the company mentioned that components such as the "middle segment and nozzle bucket flange" were manufactured at their facility in Powai. Additionally, components like the ground and flight umbilical plates originated from L&T's aerospace manufacturing facility in Coimbatore.

AT Ramchandani, Executive Vice President and Head of L&T Defence, expressed that the Indian industry now has opportunities in the space sector, and they intend to capitalise on their longstanding association with ISRO to play a more significant role in future space programs.

The company stated that all these subsystems were delivered before the scheduled deadline. L&T also mentioned their involvement in producing a range of hardware for various missions such as Chandrayaan-1 and 2, Gaganyaan, and Mangalyaan, all under the purview of ISRO.

Chandrayaan-3, India's third lunar mission, is scheduled to launch at 2:35 pm on July 14. It will serve as a follow-up mission after the unsuccessful landing of Chandrayaan-2 in September 2019, attributed to a software glitch.

L&T, a multinational corporation with a market value of $ 23 billion, specialises in engineering procurement and construction (EPC) projects, high-tech manufacturing, and services. Their operations span across more than 50 countries.
