TEMBO Defence Gets MIDC Nod for 100-acre Plant in Amravati

TEMBO Defence, a wholly owned subsidiary of TEMBO Global Industries, has received a comfort letter from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) for the allocation of 100 acres of land in Amravati, near Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The proposed facility will be dedicated to arms and ammunition manufacturing and is expected to play a critical role in strengthening domestic defence capabilities. The project aligns with the central government’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiatives, aimed at achieving self-reliance in defence production.

“This land allocation is a monumental step towards our vision of contributing to India’s self-reliance in the defence manufacturing sector. The upcoming facility will not only create significant employment opportunities in the region but also play a pivotal role in strengthening India’s defence infrastructure,” said Sanjay J Patel, Managing Director of TEMBO Global Industries.

The facility is expected to focus on innovation and precision manufacturing, while also generating employment in the region as part of the company’s broader strategic growth plans in the defence sector.
