KDA to acquire 25 hectares of land for new Kanpur city project
The first phase of the 70 hectare proposed scheme has a plan by KDA, and its land has been identified. The KDA owns 45 hectares of the land, and the remaining 25 hectares will be purchased from farmers who have already given their permission.
Farmers would receive a fourfold price for their land once the cost of the land was determined, which has not yet been determined.
The price of the land was being discussed with the district administration, according to special officer Avnish Singh. Once it was decided, KDA would buy the final 25 hectares of land and then introduce the plan in the following year.
According to Singh, the first sector of the plan is being proposed in the cities of Gangapur, Chakbanda, Singhpur, Kachar, Bairi Akbarpur, Hindupur, and Sambalpur.
