Yogi Unveils Rs 17 Billion Projects to Boost Jalaun Growth
At a public event held at Indira Stadium in Orai, the Chief Minister launched 48 projects and distributed grants under various government schemes such as Mission Shakti, agricultural machinery distribution, and Anti-Romeo Squad initiatives. Ministers Watantra Dev Singh and Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary were also present at the ceremony.
Key Infrastructure Projects
The Chief Minister inaugurated several major road and power projects, including:
The Sihara–Pal–Sarsai–Rajpur Road, featuring a new bridge over the Yamuna River at Pal Ghat.
Upgradation of the Konch–Moh–Mihini–Bobhan Road, with improved approaches and enhanced safety along the Pawan River.
Widening and reinforcement of the Orai–Konch Road, covering a stretch of 27.03 kilometres.
Commissioning of 132 kV substations and transmission lines at Kutal and Khodera under the Green Energy Corridor initiative, aimed at boosting regional power reliability.
Upcoming Development Works
Foundation stones were laid for 400 kV and 220 kV substations at Mehwata, which will further strengthen the district’s power grid. Construction plans were also announced for new residential and office buildings at Orai Tehsil Headquarters.
Additionally, road improvement and widening works have been planned for Orai–Konch–Nadigad, Eta–Korona, Jalawan–Nehil, Anina–Iroti, and Rakh–Khodar–Manhaga routes. The government will also develop an access road to Jalaun Devi Temple, enhancing connectivity to the important religious site.
Chief Minister Adityanath’s visit reflects the Uttar Pradesh government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening both urban and rural infrastructure in Jalaun. The newly inaugurated projects are expected to stimulate local economic activity, improve public service delivery, and reinforce sustainable growth across the district.
