Aequs Infra, one of India’s largest developers of large-format industrial clusters, is set to expand into Tier-1 markets with plans to develop 12 million square feet of manufacturing and warehousing parks across key South Indian cities.
Spearheading this expansion is Shyam Kalyanasundaram, recently appointed as Chief Executive Officer. Previously, he served as Executive Director – Revenue at IndoSpace, a major player in the industrial and logistics real estate sector.
The proposed industrial parks will be situated near high-growth corridors such as Bengaluru and Chennai, aligning with India’s broader strategy to enhance domestic manufacturing and modernise logistics infrastructure.
The company is expected to invest over Rs 20 billion in this initiative, with average construction costs estimated at around Rs 2,000 per square foot. The development marks a pivotal move for Aequs Infra as it positions itself as a pan-South India industrial platform linking global supply chains to the country’s emerging manufacturing ecosystems.
