Prozo Adds Zero Point One Five Mn Sq Ft Warehousing Near Bengaluru

Prozo has added one point five lakh square feet of warehousing capacity near Bengaluru, increasing its footprint in the region. The additional space is equivalent to zero point one five million (mn) square feet and will be used to handle inventory and distribution requirements for clients across Karnataka. The development reflects an ongoing expansion strategy focused on creating distributed logistics hubs close to urban centres. The site is expected to integrate with the company warehousing network to provide scalable storage options for diverse inventory profiles.

The new facility takes the company portfolio in Karnataka to 12 facilities and enhances its ability to provide faster fulfilment and reduced transit times. Prozo had previously emphasised the need for scalable, technology enabled warehousing to meet growing e-commerce and retail demand, and this addition builds on that approach. The expansion complements existing assets across the state and supports a strategy of proximity to consumer clusters. The site is positioned to support last mile operations and to serve as a regional distribution node.

Company representatives noted that locating capacity near Bengaluru allows for improved connectivity to key arterial roads and reduces lead times for nearby markets. The facility incorporates flexible storage layouts and is intended to accommodate a mix of palletised and smaller order picking operations, enabling optimisation of throughput. Design choices aim to balance storage density and accessibility to improve order processing rates. This will allow clients to better manage seasonal spikes and maintain inventory fluidity.

The expansion underscores a broader shift towards organised warehousing in southern India as businesses seek resilient supply chains and faster delivery. Prozo will continue to scale its network in response to demand while integrating technology for inventory visibility and operational efficiency. Stakeholders view the addition as timely given sustained momentum in regional demand for logistics services. The move brings the firm closer to meeting regional logistics requirements and strengthens its presence in Karnataka.
