Yeida Approves Projects to Boost Industrial Development Near Airport
The logistics park will cover about 200 acres, with land offered to eligible investors through e-auction. Yeida said the project is intended to attract investment, create employment and establish modern supply-chain infrastructure, strengthening the Yamuna area’s position as a logistics hub.
The authority is hiring a consultant to prepare the industrial node’s master plan. The development is intended to accommodate factories, warehouses and light manufacturing units, while supporting industrial investment, employment and logistics infrastructure around the airport.
Yeida has also approved its Corpus Fund Investment Regulation 2026-27 to support the long-term upkeep of civic infrastructure and financial stability. One-time lease rent and other eligible non-recurring receipts will be placed in a corpus and invested under prescribed rules. Interest and permissible receipts from these investments will fund the maintenance and repair of roads, water supply, sewage and drainage systems, street lights, parks, green belts and other civic amenities.
The board reviewed industrial plot allotments, noting that lease deeds had been executed for 181 of 295 plots measuring more than 4,000 sqm. Possession had been given for 152 plots, construction had started on 69 and production had begun in 13 units. In the Sector 28 Medical Device Park, 123 of 203 plots had been allotted, with possession for 75 and construction under way on 28. Facilities including a 3D prototype lab and electronics assembly facility are also being developed.
Yeida’s receipts through September rose to Rs. 42.22 bn in 2026-27 from Rs. 14.95 bn in the corresponding period of 2025-26, an increase of 182 per cent. Expenditure rose to Rs. 55.01 bn from Rs. 3.33 bn, mainly because of land acquisition and loan repayment.
