Reddy to launch Rs 6.84 bn Srinivasa Setu Expressway

AV Dharma Reddy, Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), announced that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh, would inaugurate the Srinivasa Sethu flyover in Tirupati on September 18. He mentioned that the flyover was intended to offer efficient transportation for both pilgrims and local residents.

Following a review of the remaining tasks for the Srinivasa Sethu project with TTD and Municipal Corporation of Tirupati officials, the executive officer instructed the relevant officials to ensure the completion of various tasks, such as installing cross barriers, modernising roads, central dividers, footpaths, painting, BT topping, and more, by September 15. He also asked the civic body commissioner, D Haritha, to start trial runs from September 12.

The Srinivasa Setu elevated expressway project was initiated at a cost of Rs 6.84 billion, with funding from the TTD and the Tirupati Smart City Corporation in a 67:33 ratio, respectively. The elevated expressway corridor, which connects the temple city from various directions, aims to provide a congestion-free route for devotees heading to Tirumala and alleviate traffic issues for local residents.
