Maldives has signed its largest-ever infrastructure project with Indian construction giant Afcons Infrastructure, led by its Managing Director S Paramasivan. The Greater Male Connectivity Project (GMCP) includes construction of a 6.74 km-long bridge and causeway connecting Male to the nearby islands of Villingli, Gulhifalhu and Thilafushi. In the words of Paramasivan, “This is yet another recognition of our capabilities to construct mega projects to speed and scale.” Indeed!
