Ambuja Cements plans to expand the production capacity of its Cement Grinding Unit by 1.5 mtpa at its Ropar plant in Punjab with an estimated investment of `3.1 billion over the next two years.The expansion is expected to be completed by June 2023.

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has announced that the Railways have agreed to its proposal for improving infrastructure by doubling the railway tracks and augmenting coal transport in Jharkhand. The proposal of alignment of four new four-lane road projects by the NHAI to improve the road communication network in Bihar has received approval from the state government.
