Record made! The Border Roads Organisation (BRO), under the leadership of its Director General Lieutenant General Rajeev Chaudhary, has constructed the world’s highest motorable road at an altitude of 19,300 ft at Umlingla Pass in Eastern Ladakh. This road has been constructed at an elevation greater than the Mount Everest base camps. The road will help in providing connectivity to boost the socio-economic conditions and tourism prospects in Ladakh. A proud record, indeed!
