Srisailam to produce 715 mn units power

The energy department is planning to generate 715 mn units of power this year from Srisailam dam, which could be the highest in recent years. Hydel power generation could also be started from Nagarjunasagar. Hydel power, which is available at Rs.1.6 per unit, will help discoms to reduce costs.
