IPSCDL to implement city management system in Goa

Imagine Panaji Smart City Development (IPSCDL) has decided to push ahead with the Goa Intelligent City Management System (GICMS). The Rs.1.8 bn project is likely to be completed by November 30, and it will go live by December 13. GICMS smart city plan will have an integrated command and control centre (ICCC) set up at the IT hub, Altinho, for all-around surveillance in Panaji, Old Goa, Corlim, Porvorim and other entry points in the state. It will have sensors and cameras to keep track of the traffic violations, crime, theft, littering, pollution emissions, solid waste, and smart city lighting, along with Wi-Fi hotspots in about 500 locations in Panaji.
