Mangaluru Smart City ties up for rooftop solar projects

Mangaluru Smart City is planning to generate 1,250 kW power through solar rooftop plants at several government buildings. It has entered into an agreement with SG Renewables Energy for the project, being executed at a cost of Rs.70.8 mn. SG Renewables will undertake operation and maintenance of solar panels for a 10-year period. The concessionaire will give the building owner 35 per cent rebate in power bill; MSCL will get five per cent of the revenue generated and the remaining will to the company.
