Chandigarh has issued a tender seeking bids for power distribution, which would make it the first Union Territory to offer its power distribution company for complete privatisation.
The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TSREDCO) has floated two tenders for 2.2 MW of ground-mounted solar projects on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis.

In June, the state cabinet approved the proposal to develop a 10 GW mega solar power project. As suggested by APGECL, the tenure of the PPA will be 30 years instead of 25 years.

The Union Government and the Asian Development Bank have signed a $300 mn loan agreement to finance inclusive and sustainable water supply and sanitation infrastructure and services in 14 secondary towns of Rajasthan.

A robotic multi-level car parking system capable of parking 140 cars has been envisaged at Kacheripady Junction in Kochi by the Cochin Smart Mission. The elevator-shuttle parking system is aimed at tackling the problem of obstructive and illegal parking by motorists.
Warangal’s Smart City works are expected to be completed within the given timeframe. The government has approved 84 work components with an outlay of Rs.23.28 bn as part of the Smart Cities Mission, and has so far released Rs.1.38 bn. Work on 12 components with an outlay of Rs.338.5 mn has been completed, while work on another 29 components is in various stages.

The Gujarat government is weighing the option of inviting fresh bids for developing Nargol port after the Gujarat Maritime Board cancelled the work awarded to Cargo Motors. A consortium of Cargo Motors and Israel Ports Co was selected as the developer for Nargol port in August 2012.

The direct port entry (DPE) facility of V O Chidambaranar Port Trust was inaugurated recently.
