Third phase of Panjim market to be taken up under Smart Cities mission

The construction of the much-delayed third phase of the Panjim Municipal Market in Goa, which is expected to accommodate fish and meat vendors, will now be taken up under the Smart Cities mission. The project will come up in an area of 2,400 sq m. A new road will be constructed from Caculo Circle to Adarsh Colony at Tonca, with proper drainage system and underground cabling. Also, the bridge over St Inez Creek near Tonca sewerage plant will beĀ 
taken up by Imagine Panaji Smart City Development. Cost estimation and tendering is expected to take another two months. The work is expected to begin from first week of November in a phased manner.
