The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority will float tenders for the Rs 61 crore stormwater network to prevent waterlogging in the airport and its vicinity. The irrigation department, which is partnering the project, will issue tenders in a months time. A working technical group has been formed for the project. Stormwater from the first two will be channeled into Noai canal, the third into Bagjola canal and the fourth into a local lake.
