DPR completion of Maduravoyal-Chennai Port corridor soon

The Tamil Nadu highway department told the media that the detailed project report (DPR) of the delayed Maduravoyal-Chennai Port elevated corridor project would be completed within three months. The corridor project was sanctioned in 2007 and was not commissioned for about four years. Later, when the highway department started constructing pillars, the project was on hold for environmental issues. According to the sources, the NHAI proposed to revise the corridor design after eight years. The project will have a double-decker flyover which will cost Rs.50 bn.
