India's first green and safe highway to be developed in Rajasthan

The first range of green highway construction under the Green National Highways Corridor Project (GNHCP) is expected to be built by December this year in Rajasthan. The government of India is developing GNHC across 781 km in four states- Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, 
and Andhra Pradesh. The plan is to develop five to six green and safe national highways – divided into 23 stretches as a part of the corridor. The entore project is expected to be completed by the end of FY2023-24 with an estimated cost of about Rs.76.62 bn.
