The centre has approved development works for Aurangabad under the Smart City mission, valuing Rs.10 bn. In terms of funding, the government will put in 50 per cent share while the state government and the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will invest 25 per cent share each.

Construction of highways in India witnessed a 25 per cent increase in the first quarter of the current fiscal to 2,284 km at 25.37 km per day. In the April-June period of 2019-20, highway construction was 23.29 km per day.
