Port Blair Airport to have a new terminal building

AAI has announced that it is constructing a new integrated terminal building at the Port Blair airport, which will be ready by mid-2021. As reported, more than 65 per cent of the project's work has been completed. 

The airport currently handles around 1.8 mn passengers annually, and the new terminal building will be able to handle about 5 mn passengers a year. 

It will have three levels and the design of the terminal will be a shell shaped structure depicting sea and islands.
