JK Lakshmi Cement Targets 10% Growth in FY'26 with Expansion Plans
The JK Organisation group company is also working to increase its revenue from adjacent sectors such as concrete solutions and the ready-mix business, aiming for 10% contribution from these areas in the next 3-4 years.
Capacity Expansion Plans for Future Growth
JK Lakshmi Cement has plans to increase its production capacity to 30 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) by 2030, up from the current 18 MTPA. This ambitious expansion is part of the company’s strategy to position itself among the top five cement producers in the country. The company, which reported a revenue of Rs 6,383.73 crore in FY'24 and, like other industry players, faced a slowdown in demand, is optimistic about a stronger performance this fiscal year.
"I believe the industry will grow at about 7-8% in FY'26, and our target is to achieve at least 10% growth," Shukla told PTI.
Strategic Plant Expansions
The company anticipates that the recent addition of 2.5 MTPA capacity at its Udaipur plant, along with another 1.35 MTPA in Surat, will contribute to the desired growth. These expansions are key growth drivers for the company’s 10% target for the fiscal year.
Additionally, JK Lakshmi Cement has committed Rs 25 billion in investment to boost its capacity in Eastern India, with both brownfield and greenfield projects that will increase the region’s capacity to 4.6 MTPA by 2027-28. The company is also looking to expand further in Rajasthan and Gujarat, where it holds mining rights, with plans for additional 3 MTPA in each region.
