ACME Solar Signs 25-Year PPA For 200 MW Solar + Storage Project

ACME Solar Holdings has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI Ltd for its 200 MW solar project paired with a 100 MW/400 MWh energy-storage system at a tariff of Rs 3.42 per kWh. The PPA was executed through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Platinum Urja, following tariff adoption by the central regulator and power-procurement approval by the state regulator.

SECI had awarded ACME Solar a cumulative capacity of 350 MW in July 2024, of which a 150 MW PPA was signed in October 2024. With this latest agreement, the entire project capacity is now under PPA coverage.

Under the contract, ACME Solar must supply power at an annual Capacity Utilisation Factor of 25–27 per cent during solar hours, and ensure minimum system availability of 70 per cent monthly and 85 per cent annually during evening peak hours.

The project is scheduled for commissioning by June 2027. Implementation will benefit from ACME Solar having already secured final connectivity approvals.

With this milestone, ACME Solar has signed PPAs totalling 800 MW of contracted capacity — including 2,320 MWh of battery storage — in the current financial year. This brings its total PPA-signed portfolio to 5,380 MW.
