Coal ministry allots 200th mine

The Ministry of Coal has allocated its 200th coal block, Marwatola II, to Singhal Business Pvt Ltd, marking a major milestone in India’s coal sector reforms. The Ministry also opened the 12th round of commercial coal block auctions, receiving 38 bids for eight of the 11 offered mines. Bidders included Damodar Valley Corporation, NLC India, and Jindal Steel and Power. The process followed a transparent online and offline format.
