Krystal Associate Wins Rooftop Solar BOOT Contract
The scope of work encompasses design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and synchronizing of the solar PV arrays, followed by long term operation and maintenance for a period of 25 years together with attendant services, the filing stated. Implementation will require coordination with multiple public facilities and periodic servicing obligations under the BOOT arrangement, including site management, system performance monitoring and lifecycle upkeep. The company said the contract will be executed in the ordinary course of business.
The company disclosed an approximate contract value of Rs 1.38 billion (bn), reflecting the total consideration for the full scope of works and the long term service period, and noted that Krystal Integrated Services holds a 49 per cent stake in the associate that received the order. The contracting authority is a domestic entity and the filing specified that the award does not amount to a related party transaction and that there is no interest of the promoter or promoter group in the awarding body. The disclosure follows regulatory requirements under SEBI listing standards.
The company said the project will strengthen the group’s presence in renewable energy delivery and create a multiyear revenue stream through operations and maintenance services that accompany the BOOT model while contributing to energy resilience at beneficiary institutions. Deployment across medical education and health facilities will support state efforts on sustainability and reduce grid dependence at those sites over time. The company will monitor and report progress to regulators and stakeholders as implementation advances.
