Saatvik Green Energy Secures Rs 1,714.5 Million Solar Module Order

Saatvik Green Energy has secured a Rs 1,714.5 million (mn) order to supply solar modules for a utility-scale solar project, the company said on Tuesday. The modules are TOPCon bifacial glass?glass solar photovoltaic modules, a latest generation technology that generates power from both faces of the panel and increases energy output compared with conventional modules. The company stated the order relates to the supply for a domestic independent power producer at a major solar site in India.

The order has been received and accepted, and totals Rs 1,714.5 mn for the delivery of the specified modules to the purchaser. The chief executive officer indicated that selection to supply modules for a domestic independent power producer of this scale at an important site amounted to an endorsement of the company's capabilities. The statement described the contract as material to the firm and aligned with its focus on utility-scale projects.

Saatvik Green Energy is one of India's leading solar photovoltaic module manufacturers with a presence across utility scale, commercial and industrial, engineering procurement and construction and distributed solar segments. The company operates a 4.8 gigawatt (GW) module manufacturing facility in Ambala, Haryana, and is developing a greenfield integrated manufacturing facility in Odisha with four gigawatt (GW) of module capacity and 4.8 gigawatt (GW) of solar cell capacity. These facilities underpin its supply capability for large projects.

The use of TOPCon bifacial glass?glass modules in utility-scale installations is designed to enhance generation per unit area by capturing irradiance on both faces. Saatvik Green Energy will execute the order through its existing and planned manufacturing capacity as part of its wider strategy to serve domestic independent power producers and scale deliveries for large rooftop and ground mounted schemes. The company's announcement follows its ongoing expansion of module and cell capacity.
