BEML Secures Rs.246.78 Crore Order

State-owned BEML has announced that it has secured an order worth Rs.246.78 crore from Central Coalfields Ltd. (CCL) for the supply of 48 BH60M rear dump trucks used in mining operations. The order includes the trucks, essential spares, and after-sales service support. These trucks, developed in-house by BEML, are equipped with advanced safety features such as a 360-degree rear camera for enhanced visibility, an automatic fire suppression system for emergency preparedness, and an auto lube system to ensure smooth maintenance.

BEML Chairman and Managing Director, Shantanu Roy, emphasized that this partnership underscores the company's commitment to contributing to India's growth by supporting critical sectors like mining through sustainable and innovative technologies. He noted that the trucks align with India's vision of self-reliance and leadership in industrial innovation.

BEML, which operates under the Ministry of Defence, has a diversified portfolio with operations in construction and mining, rail and metro, and defence and aerospace. CCL, the recipient of this order, is a major coal mining company with 38 producing mines (35 opencast and 3 underground). This collaboration is expected to further strengthen the country's mining infrastructure and contribute to the sector’s technological advancement.
