Hyundai reveals photo of articulated dump truck on social media

Recently, social media followers of Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas got a compelling tidbit when the company posted a teasing glimpse photo of a Hyundai articulated dump truck (ADT).

The photo shows the ADT painted in the company’s trademark yellow and black, displaying the brand and model name on a paved area, which appears to be a company shipping and receiving area entrance.

It would be a new machine category for Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, a manufacturer of excavators, wheel loaders and compact rollers for the US market.

An ADT would not be a new product for Doosan Infracore, which Hyundai Heavy Industries acquired last year and is currently named Hyundai Doosan Infracore.

Doosan offers two artics for North America, one of which is DA30-5, which is a resemblance to the Hyundai HA30, except for its Doosan orange and black colour model. Both the names of the brand and model are in the same places placed on the truck.

The DA30-5 has a 362 hp engine, a payload of 61,729 pounds and a 22 cubic yard body volume.

After Hyundai acquired Doosan, both the companies have discussed providing synergies in the equipment and technology industry.

The new Hyundai ADT could be among the many collaborative projects of the companies.
