Raimondi Cranes, the Italian heritage manufacturer of heavy lifting solutions under Arada Industries, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire key crane businesses from US-based Terex Corporation. The transaction includes Terex Tower Cranes, Terex Self-Erecting Cranes, Terex Rough Terrain Cranes, and the North America service and support hub in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The acquisition significantly expands Raimondi’s product portfolio, strengthening its core in luffing jib and tower cranes while adding new lines such as self-erecting and rough terrain cranes. It also opens access to Terex’s global distribution network, boosting shareholder confidence and enhancing customer experience through broader offerings and advanced after-sales support.

“This transformative move, recognised as the most impactful deal in the industry over the past two decades, is the most significant acquisition in Raimondi’s history,” said Luigi Maggioni, Chief Executive Officer, Raimondi Group. “As market leaders in their segments, the Terex crane businesses and their US-based service hub will enable Raimondi to diversify, deliver synergies, and accelerate sustainable global growth.”

The deal will see around 250 employees join Raimondi, bringing the Group’s total workforce to nearly 400. Assets covered include the Terex Tower and Self-Erecting Cranes facility in Fontanafredda, Italy, the Rough Terrain Cranes facility in Crespellano, Italy, and the US support operations. Raimondi aims to achieve operational efficiencies through enhanced manufacturing capabilities, streamlined procurement, and economies of scale, while also fast-tracking its entry into the North American market—one of the world’s largest construction sectors.

The acquisition combines Raimondi’s Italian engineering legacy with Terex’s innovation and market reach, positioning the Group as a global leader in lifting solutions. With integration complete, Raimondi is targeting $500 million in annual revenue by 2028. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals.
