Bridgestone, a Japanese tyre manufacturer, has appointed Stefano Sanchini as the head of its India operations, effective January 1, 2019. He will succeed Parag Satpute, who will relocate to Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to take on a new global role in Bridgestone's Solutions Business, according to a company statement.

Currently serving as VP Region Middle East and Africa, Sanchini According to the company, Satpute will resign from his current position on January 1, 2023, and Sanchini will take over on that date.

"As we move into new technologies and mobility solutions, the Indian market is going to be a focus area and I am happy to be here as we spread out these solutions to the vast Indian customer base," said Sanchini.
