The inauguration was attended by senior leaders from the Government of Telangana and Baker Hughes, including the Minister for Industries and IT and senior company and state officials. Company leadership from Azad, led by the chairman and chief executive, marked the opening. The presence of these officials underlines the partnership between the state ecosystem and global OEMs.
Azad described a collaboration that began in 2018 with supply of critical rotating airfoils for gas and steam turbine finish stages and that has evolved into a strategic manufacturing relationship. The company reported that it navigated a stringent global qualification pathway involving multi?grade raw material approvals, complex process validations and product?level certifications. In parallel, Azad developed and certified a sub?tier ecosystem for specialised processes to ensure compliance across the value chain.
The facility has been engineered for scale, speed and precision and is equipped with cutting?edge equipment and optimised process flows designed for productivity excellence. It has about 230 skilled professionals on board and is fully integrated with the COE and the innovation centre to deliver components with micron?level tolerances. Azad confirmed participation in the Baker Hughes Oilfield Services and Equipment programme as part of the supplier role in the global supply chain.
The company framed the inauguration as its fourth dedicated facility and as part of an aggressive capacity build?out across aerospace, defence, energy and oil and gas sectors. Azad presented the expansion as a demonstration of its capability to meet surging global demand and to contribute to India's growing manufacturing strength. The move reinforces the firm's intent to shape global precision manufacturing and to support long?term partnerships with leading OEMs.
