Benares Hotels Posts Strong FY2026 Results

Benares Hotels Limited (BHL), a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), reported financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ending 31 March 2026. For the fourth quarter BHL recorded revenue of Rs 499 mn, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of Rs 232 mn with an EBITDA margin of 46 per cent and profit after tax of Rs 153 mn. For the full year the company reported revenue of Rs 1.45 bn, an EBITDA margin of 45 per cent and profit after tax of Rs 432 mn. The company attributed the full year performance to sustained demand across its portfolio.

In the fourth quarter the company completed an addition of 100 rooms at Taj Ganges, Varanasi, increasing total inventory to 230 rooms and opened a classical Anglo-Indian bar at the property. Taj Ganges retained EarthCheck Platinum certification in recognition of sustained performance across environmental, social and operational sustainability parameters. Taj Nadesar Palace, Varanasi was listed among Michelin Keys hotels with one key in 2025.

Benares Hotels Limited is a listed public limited company incorporated in 1971 and its hotel portfolio includes Taj Ganges and Taj Nadesar Palace in Varanasi and Ginger Gondia in Maharashtra. BHL became a subsidiary of IHCL in 2011 and continues to align with the group on brand and operational standards. The board issued the results and filed the announcement on 29 April 2026 in Mumbai.

The company indicated it is well poised to address growing demand in the luxury segment given the expanded inventory at Taj Ganges and sustained market interest. Management reiterated a focus on maintaining strong margins while continuing investments in guest experience and sustainability measures.
