Jammu & Kashmir Gets Rs 740.3 Million Boost Under RAMP Scheme
To support implementation, the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) held a district-level workshop at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Reasi, in collaboration with the State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) and the District Industries Centre (DIC).
Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner Secretary of Industries and Commerce, and Sudarshan Kumar, Managing Director of JKTPO, guided the initiative. Kishor Singh Karoch, General Manager of DIC Reasi, urged local stakeholders to fully leverage the scheme to boost productivity and market access.
Key components of the scheme include Udyam Registration, promotion of region-specific products like GI-tagged and One District One Product (ODOP) items, and cluster development. The launch of the J&K MSMEs Health Clinic and plans for buyer-seller meets were also highlighted.
The Rs 60.62 billion RAMP programme is jointly supported by the World Bank and the Government of India.
