L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has inaugurated Europe’s first Engineering Intelligence centre of excellence in Munich, marking a strategic expansion of its engineering intelligence approach. The Munich centre will integrate deep domain engineering expertise with advanced technologies including generative AI, agentic AI, multimodal AI, physical AI and edge intelligence to support intelligent products and autonomous operations. The initiative aims to embed AI across the engineering lifecycle to enable intelligent products, autonomous operations and next-generation manufacturing systems. The facility will help clients move from experimentation to scalable industrial transformation by combining domain knowledge with forward-looking technologies.\n\nPositioned within one of Europe’s most advanced industrial and technology ecosystems, the centre will serve clients in mobility, industrial products, sustainability and technology sectors. The centre will focus on accelerating applied AI solutions, intelligent manufacturing, software-defined products, predictive operations and connected engineering ecosystems tailored to regional priorities. LTTS said the hub will act as a collaborative innovation centre for enterprise transformation and cross-sector co-creation. The Munich location is intended to strengthen partnerships across industry, government and academia.\n\nThe firm described its objective as helping global enterprises transition from experimentation to scalable, real-world industrial transformation by embedding AI across the engineering lifecycle. LTTS reinforced its leadership in AI patent filings, reporting over 237 patents filed in AI and generative AI in FY26. The centre will complement existing capabilities in AI, digital and engineering research and development within the company. The hub will accelerate deployment of industrial-grade AI solutions for clients.\n\nThe inauguration aligns with LTTS' strategy to commercialise deep-tech solutions and deliver autonomous and connected engineering outcomes for clients. The Munich initiative will enable regional collaboration among industry, government and academia to advance engineering intelligence. LTTS intends the centre to reinforce its charter in AI innovation and applied research.
