Prism Johnson Launches Prism Chakachak Gypsum Plaster

Prism Johnson Limited (the Company) has expanded its product range with Prism Chakachak gypsum plaster introduced under its cement division, Prism Cement (the cement business).

The product forms part of the Premix Walling range and is described as a lightweight, quick-setting gypsum plaster intended to deliver smooth, paint-ready wall and ceiling finishes.

It requires no water curing, reduces construction time and labour requirements, and offers low shrinkage with minimal cracking. The formulation is naturally fire-resistant and eco-friendly while providing improved thermal and acoustic insulation and adding minimal load to structures. These attributes are expected to reduce on-site labour and accelerate project timelines for both new construction and interior finishing works.

The cement business has a strong presence in Central India, including key markets such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, supported by a dealer network of approximately 2,400 dealers. Prism Chakachak will be made available across the Company's operating regions through this established distribution network, enabling faster market penetration and wider customer access. The distribution strategy is aligned with plans to deepen market share in core territories while offering complementary products to existing customers.

The addition of gypsum plaster complements the Company's diversified portfolio that spans cement, tiles, bathware, ready-mix concrete and construction chemicals, and it strengthens the integrated product basket available to builders and interior specialists. By offering multiple solutions under one roof, the Company expects to provide more seamless procurement and project management for contractors and developers. The development is positioned to support growing demand for value-added construction materials and to reinforce the Company's role in delivering end-to-end building solutions.
