Prism Johnson Launches Prism Chakachak Gypsum Plaster

Prism Johnson Limited has expanded its product range with the launch of Prism Chakachak Gypsum Plaster under its cement division, Prism Cement. The move forms part of the company’s strategy to broaden its value-added construction materials portfolio while leveraging an established distribution network. The launch was presented as reinforcing the company’s aim to offer integrated solutions to construction and interior projects.

Prism Chakachak Gypsum Plaster is positioned as a lightweight, quick-setting premix designed to deliver smooth, paint-ready wall and ceiling finishes without the need for water curing. The product is said to reduce construction time and labour requirements while offering low shrinkage and minimal cracks. It is naturally fire-resistant and eco-friendly and is reported to provide good thermal and acoustic insulation while adding minimal load to structures.

Prism Cement maintains a strong presence in central India, including key markets such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, supported by a dealer network of 2,400 dealers. The plaster will be distributed across the company’s operating regions through this existing network, allowing quicker roll-out and access for builders and contractors. The company expects the product to complement its existing channels for cement, tiles and construction chemicals.

The addition of gypsum plaster broadens Prism Johnson’s integrated product basket and aims to enable customers to procure a wider range of construction and interior solutions from one source. The company’s diversified portfolio already spans cement, tiles, bathware, ready-mix concrete and construction chemicals, and the new product is intended to enhance those offerings. The launch underscores a continued focus on value-added materials and distribution-led growth.
