Rs 4,030 Million Released for Sagarmala Projects in TN

Under the Sagarmala Scheme, the Centre has released Rs 4,030 million for 18 sanctioned projects in Tamil Nadu, with a total outlay of Rs 9,090 million. These include port infrastructure, fishing harbours, a steel bridge in Kanyakumari, and skill development programmes. Reportedly, completed works include a berth at Chennai Port, harbours in Poompuhar and Mookaiyur, and a tech centre at IIT Chennai. The update was shared by MoS Bhupathiraju Srinivasa Varma in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
