RVNL Wins Rs 390 mn NMDC Order For Banjara Hills Campus

Rashtriya Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a Rs 390 million contract from the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) to construct a residential campus in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills. The agreement covers design and construction elements and will involve civil and allied works for housing units and associated infrastructure. RVNL said the project aligns with its portfolio of urban and institutional development projects and will be executed through its engineering and construction divisions.

The scope includes construction of multiple residential blocks, common facilities and internal services such as water supply, drainage and power distribution. Project management will encompass quality control, safety adherence and coordination with local authorities for approvals and clearances. RVNL will mobilise its project management teams and engage local contractors and suppliers to deliver the works within the stipulated contractual framework.

The National Mineral Development Corporation initiated the project to provide residential accommodation for its staff in the city and awarded RVNL the contract following its procurement process. The assignment complements NMDC's infrastructure objectives and supports organisational housing requirements. For RVNL, the order adds to its portfolio of civil construction projects across sectors including rail, urban infrastructure and institutional buildings.

Valued at Rs 390 mn, the contract underlines steady demand for organised infrastructure services and reinforces RVNL's presence in urban construction segments. The project execution will involve coordination with local stakeholders and supply chains, with a focus on safety, quality and timely delivery. The award will provide work for regional contractors and suppliers and support ancillary economic activity in the area.

RVNL's engineering teams bring experience from large scale infrastructure assignments and employ standardised project controls and monitoring systems. The firm emphasises compliance with environmental and safety norms and integrates quality assurance throughout construction phases. Such projects contribute to strengthening urban infrastructure capacity while enabling skilled and unskilled employment in the vicinity.
