Sterling Holiday Resorts Opens 33-Room Hotel in Varanasi
The opening expands Sterling’s presence in destinations associated with faith and spirituality. Its existing network includes Ayodhya, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Guruvayur, Tiruvannamalai, Pushkar, Madurai and Puri. The company said the Varanasi property supports its broader strategy of developing hotels around the reasons people travel rather than relying only on conventional destination categories.
Sterling said spiritual journeys increasingly overlap with family travel, culture, cuisine, heritage and discovery. The company’s managing director and chief executive, Vikram Lalvani, said Varanasi represented an important addition to its destination-led growth strategy, with the property designed to make faith-led travel more comfortable, reliable and meaningful.
Sterling Varanasi includes contemporary rooms, including Premier Rooms with balconies overlooking Kashi. Its vegetarian restaurant, RASA KASHI, draws on Varanasi’s food traditions while offering a broader menu for contemporary travellers. KASHI REGALIA, a partially covered venue with a glass roof and 180-degree views across the city, is intended for intimate celebrations, family gatherings and special occasions.
Guests can arrange experiences around the city’s daily rhythms, including early-morning boat journeys on the Ganges and the evening Ganga Aarti. The property also provides a base for visits to temples, Sarnath and local attractions associated with Banarasi cuisine, silk and craft traditions. Arya Vishwajeet Singh of Aditi Group, the owner of Sterling Varanasi, said the partnership combined Sterling’s brand reach, operating expertise and distribution capabilities with the aim of establishing the hotel as a trusted hospitality address in the city.
