Waaree Energies Secures 739.71 MW Module Supply Order

Waaree Energies has secured a 739.71 megawatt (MW) solar module supply order from a leading renewable energy solutions provider, reinforcing its project pipeline. The company said in a regulatory filing that it will supply the modules across fiscal years 2026-27 and 2027-28. The contract is expected to underpin capacity utilisation and logistics planning.

The order would contribute towards achieving around 3.24 gigawatt (GW) of module production capacity in Q1 FY27 and supports the firm’s recent operational momentum. During the first quarter of the financial year, revenue from operations rose 79.2 per cent year-on-year to Rs 79.32 billion (bn), reflecting a 41.51 per cent year-on-year growth driven by scale and efficiency. Management said the module shipment profile helped expand throughput and cost absorption.

The latest award also adds to the company’s overall order book, which reached around Rs 615 bn as of June 2026. Waaree reported an executed Solar EPC order book of around 6 gigawatt-peak (GWp) with an unexecuted order book of Rs 53 bn, including Rs 27 bn of APSP contracts. The firm reiterated its target manufacturing capacity of one GW by FY2027 and a planned capital expenditure of Rs 6.76 bn.

Company executives noted that disruptions in the Middle East have delayed new overseas orders by about a quarter, while shipments in the last quarter remained elevated. Management indicated that the firm has already delivered more than Rs 84 bn in revenue from an order book of about Rs 530 bn. The company currently has around 1.6 GW of manufacturing capacity in the United States and said this is expected to increase to 4.2 GW over the next six months ahead.
