The Ministry of Steel will conduct an Open House to discuss issues related to the import of steel on 02 February 2026. The meeting will be held in the Steel Room, 3rd Floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar, New Delhi.

Companies and industry associations facing issues related to SIMS, SARAL SIMS or QCO exemptions for steel imports may present their concerns during the Open House. Participation will be through confirmed time slots only.

To obtain a time slot, participants must email tech-steel[at]nic[dot]in with details including the company or association name, the specific issue category (SIMS/SARAL SIMS/QCO exemption), name and designation of the participant, reference details of any related application, industry and product type, a brief description of the issue (within 50 words), and contact details. Third-party representation will not be permitted.

The Open House will be conducted from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm, with specific time slots communicated via email. Walk-in participation will not be allowed due to logistical constraints, and only one representative per organisation may attend to ensure wider participation.

Interested companies and associations are advised to submit their requests by 30 January 2026, 6:00 pm, to secure a confirmed time slot.
