Mumbai Pune Missing Link Project Uses Godrej Crash Barriers
Godrej Enterprises Group, in collaboration with DELTABLOC, has installed advanced precast concrete crash barrier systems on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway Missing Link project, marking their first deployment in India.
The Missing Link project, being developed by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, aims to enhance connectivity, reduce travel time, and improve safety along one of Maharashtra’s key transport corridors.
The installed DELTABLOC® systems comply with European Standard EN 1317 and are designed to provide high containment, absorb collision impact, and redirect vehicles, reducing the risk of severe injury. These systems are already deployed across more than 45 countries and are suited for high-speed road environments.
Anup Mathew, EVP and Business Head, Construction Business, Godrej Enterprises Group, said, “As India builds the infrastructure that will power its next phase of growth, safety must be built into every major project…”
The project also reflects a focus on sustainable construction, with the use of recycled materials. Godrej Enterprises Group’s recycled construction materials business has grown 57 per cent year-on-year, indicating increasing demand for sustainable solutions.
The group continues to contribute to major infrastructure projects including the Mumbai Coastal Road, Versova–Bandra Sea Link, Mumbai Metro Rail, and the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train, strengthening its role in advancing India’s transport and construction ecosystem.
